Development has just started on the next major version of cAPI. Features and upgrades will include:
Slim PHP Framework v3
Automatic OpenAPI JSON generated from code doc blocks
JSON Web Tokens
ReactPHP Libraries and service endpoints to allow non-blocking I/O, event listeners and more
Basic integration of AI / Machine Learning algorithms fed by ReactPHP event listeners and controlled via REST API
cAPI v2.x will require:

cAPI 2 will also include a Pro subscription tier, offering access to plugin development docs and an SDK built on Red Hat's OpenShift Origin container clustering technology (powered by Docker & Kubernetes).
An important long term goal will be to offer cAPI as a fully-configured commercial product, leveraging OpenShift Origin and node clustering with a focus on Serverless Architecture and Functions as a Service.
